You can take care of the mess by mixing a teaspoon of detergent in a bowl of warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and blot at the stain with it. However, if the melted candy still doesn’t come off, clean the area with a solution containing two-third water and one-third vinegar.

For removing gum, harden the remains with an ice cube and scrape them off.

Cleaning Pumpkin Remains

Creating artwork out of pumpkins will give your office party an authentic Halloween look. But the pumpkin remains left behind, can attract rats, bugs and pests.

To clean them up, scrape off the remains with a spoon, and then scrub the rest with a mixture of water and dishwashing liquid.

Once the stain has almost disappeared; rinse the affected area with a mixture of one cup of water and two teaspoons of vinegar.

If the stain still doesn’t go away, rub it with hydrogen peroxide or alcohol. Test the products on a small part of the carpet or sofa first, as they can bleach or lighten the area.
